TRADEMARK REGISTRATION PROCEDURE IN MALAYSIA

Trademark registration procedure shall include the following stages:

STAGE 1: To conduct trademark search, to check the availability of your trademark for registration and to make sure that your trademark complies the requirement of registration under Malaysian Trade Marks Act 2019 . Search result will be issued within 2 working days after payment.

STAGE 2:  To process and submit registration to MyIPO. Registration can be done within 2 working days and confirmation of registration will be sent directly to your email. Registration certificate will be issued approximately 12 to 18 months from the submission date. The process of getting the registration certificate can be shorten to 4 to 8 months by filing expedited examination application or fast track application to MyIPO.

Every registration valid for 10 years and can be renewed for every 10 years.

PROOF OF SUBMISSION

A proof of submission will be sent to your email in PDF form after we have submitted the registration. After submission, we need to wait around 8 to 12 months to get the trademark registered.
